I’m applying to some schools as a transfer from UC Berkeley.

The average GPA for engineering/arts&science is 3.3
Few people get A’s.

A 3.73 is in the top 15%. Use this information as you like- but are transfer admissions that low that you can expect to get in with a ~2.5 GPA?

Transfer requires a 3.0 average, if I recall. Obviously the bar is somewhat higher, though it’s subjective.

A 3.3 for Engineering isn’t exactly low…One of the three schools I applied to (got in, and might obviously go) is Georgia Institute of Technology, where the average GPA is a 3.0 across the board (so that includes the Management and Liberal Arts students).

The GPA for McCormick (the engineering school) is a B-
Which is a 2.7
It’s hard.

Averby seems to say it’s a 3.3 (B+).
