How hard is the BME major?

I heard it’s really really hard, one of the hardest at Hopkins. People are even dropping it. Is that true?

It is considered the most difficult major at JHU by many. One of the courses, Physical Foundations is actually considered in the top 10 of most difficult college courses (by some group, U.S. News?). About 10 students drop out each year from the program. Freshmen year BME is not hard at all though, it’s actually very fun! If you chose Design Team, we are given a Six Flags America all to ourselves for a day to test the affects of gravity on heart rate.

In general BME is difficult, but not impossible. A large percentage of the students get into some grad school. And the truth is if your genuinely interested in the material, you’ll find it much easier than if you aren’t.
