How hard to get A or B at Revelle college UCSD!!!!

Is it hard to get a decent grade at Revelle college UCSD?. I can study really hard but I’m not a genius like some people. So if I spend a lot of time studying would it be likely that I get an A or do I need to be super smart to maintain that high GPA>
I really need feedback on the grading system!!!
THANKS!!!

What kind of questions are these? You’ll find out soon enough.

I need some real answers from those who already experienced it.
What kind of answer is you(demerdar) giving, that is not helping man.
If I try to find out then maybe it’s too late!!!

Bump!!!
Please Those Who Went To The College Or Current In It

i think prefrosh (including myself) are all just a little too excited about going to college. and want to know every little thing about what life will be from now on.

Is english not your first language? It doesn’t sound like it. If it isn’t, you may struggle with non math/science classes.

Calm down. You’ll find out when you get there. Every class is different.

Mate, calm down. Aside from the required writing classes in Revelle (Hum), Warren, Muir, Sixth(CAT), ERC(MMW), and Marshall(DOC), there are no college-specific courses. You’ll be competing against the entire student body, not just Revellians. However, Hum is a time sink; expect tons of readings and papers (I’m in Revelle).

Professors set their own curves - some curve to a b- and some to a b, some curve to a c+ and others don’t curve at all. It depends both on the classes you take as well as the professors you sign up for. That said, there’s absolutely no point worrying. Just come here and do the best you can. If that means you’ll have to study nonstop, then yes, you will need to spend that time to get the A.

karthikkito, what nationality are you?
Are you a sophmore at Revell?
Can you tell me your current GPA?(you don’t have to if you don’t want), Just curious!!!
How many hour do you study a day to maintain that GPA?
WHat teacher to you recommend me to take for Humanities 1?
I read most of your posts in my questions plus others’, I feel that you are very optimistic and a nice person to talk to.
Thanks for all of your honest/encouraging answers and I think that you posted the picture of your dorm in REvelle too right?
YOU ARE A BIG HELP!!!

I’m from India (well, born and raised in the US), I’m actually a first year (but with Junior standing). In terms of the hours of study, probably a couple hours a day, more during crunch times, and maybe nonstop during finals.

As far as Hum goes, all the teachers are equally good. cape.ucsd.edu…almost all the hum1 teachers have 90%+ approval ratings. :)
