how high can i reach?

hi i’m a rising senior and i really want some opinons on how high you think i can reach when applying to college this year. I’m looking primarily in the northeast/midatlantic, and i dont want a huge school. I like a lot of LAC’s, and a few other colleges too.

Public High School from Connecticut

Class Rank: 5 out of 140
SAT: 2010/2400, (taking subject tests in october)
Honors/AP Courses: Honors English grades 9-11, AP English for grade 12
AP US History, scored a 5 on the exam
Honors Chemistry and Honors Physics
Honors French 4 and 5
Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Pre-Calc, AP Calc for gr 12

I got all A’s both sophomore and junior year, and freshman year i got As and maybe 2 Bs

(My schools offers a very limited selection of AP courses, I’ve taken a good majority of them)
-Also my school hasnt established our transcript gpa’s yet

Sports: Varsity Field Hockey grades 10-12, expected to be captain this year
Skiing grades 9-12
Track Grade 10

EC’s: Interact Volunteer Club: Grade 11, 12
Volunteer at the public library in my town
Ski Club: Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Helping Hands freshman immersion program: Grades 11, 12
Beta Club; 9-present
Volunteer for multiple town rotary club events
Very in involved in planning/setting up events for my grade/school

if you could give me any idea or suggestions for reaches, or schools that would not be out of the question, that would be great :)

Amherst, Boston College, Vassar.

Amherst is a real reach (OP is around 25% level for SATs) and the selection rate is around 15%. Connecticut College might be a better fit. Vassar is a good choice.

yea amherst is way out of reach.
i don’t really like vassar, but i like connecticut college and i’m considering applying
boston college is my top choice, but even though i’m in their SAT range, i dont think i’m the strongest candidate.

LACs in the NE and MidA:

Reach: Bowdoin (SAT Optional)

Match: Bates (ME), Colby(ME), Hampshire(NY), Goucher(MD), St. Mary’s College (MD-a public LAC-not religious)

Also have heard good things about Juniata, Ursinus and Franklin & Marshall. Could be good safeties.

Take a look at the Common Data Set for each school to get a feel for your chances.

Holy Cross(SAT optional) and Bowdoin.

Reaches: Colby, bowdoin, Wes

matches: Trinity, Conn College, Bates

thanks everyone!
i’ve considered colby and bates, but i always thought bowdoin was too much of a reach.
I like conn coll, and trinity looks good, i’m just not sure about the location.
