How imperative are sports?

I want to go to UCLA and I am OOS. I know that I will be held to a higher academic standard, but I don’t play sports for a team at my school and that’s been bugging me. I used to when I was younger but I dropped it for some other clubs. Would this hurt my chances of going to UCLA? My grades are good and all that but I’m kind of freaking out. Luckily I’m only a sophomore so I still have time, but…please let me know how necessary you think this would be.

Any extracurriculars where you demonstrate leadership will be fine. You don’t have to do sports.

your chances of getting in as OOS are significantly higher.

Mathlete? best of both worlds.
