How Important are Dorms?

<p>I’m pretty sure the dorm building is going to be pretty crappy (Jester @ University of Texas).</p>

<p>I’ve heard there are a lot of parties and funky smells in the building.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, I applied for housing really late and Jester is where they stick the slowpokes.</p>

<p>How much time do people normally spend in their dorms apart from sleeping?</p>

<p>Jester is not that bad. It doesn’t really smell. You’ll have lots of fun in it, especially if you’re social. Dorms are not suppose to be luxurious. If you want luxurious, go get an high end apartment in West Campus for $1000+/month.</p>
