How important are SAT II scores?

<p>How important are SAT II scores for regular decision at Yale? Are they used for placement upon entry or do they count in the selection process? Would it be worth retaking if i got 710 (lit), 730 (chemistry) and 800 (math II) but am an overseas applicant unfamiliar witht he American curriculum?</p>

<p>The count in the selection process. The median SAT II scores across most subjects are mid-700s. Grades are more important than test scores, so your SAT II scores won’t keep you out and there is no cut-off. However, higher scores are always better than lower scores.</p>
