How important are softs for law schools?

<p>Namely research experience? I’m definitely planning to do a senior honors thesis in order to graduate with honors, so that is research experience. But what about general undergraduate research in my field of study (political science)? I ask because I’m debating whether to do summer undergraduate research, primarily for personal gain, but would law schools really be impressed by that initiative? Or would that be more impressive to graduate schools?</p>

<p>would matter alot for phd/ms programs. for law schools it would be at most a minor benefit to show you like to keep busy/take initiative/etc</p>
