How Important are Unique Examples on the Essay?

Usually I do pretty well on practice SAT essays, scoring in the 10-12 range, but with very run of the mill examples. I come up with a strong introduction, then well develop two examples; one about history (WW1, WW2, Civil War, French Revolution) then pretty usual books (Frankenstein, the Great Gatsby, Macbeth). Usually I get a 12, but I’m worried that on my first test in November, these run of the mill examples won’t cut it, and that my tutor is being too nice. Any insight?
Also, how important is it to have 3 body paragraphs? I always write two but not I’m beginning to second guess myself.

it’s a 25 minute impromptu essay. you don’t need to create a
classic piece of literature, just a coherent essay. don’t worry
about not having super creative examples, the reader won’t
appreciate them in 1 minute anyway
