I just got 780 on the Math portion of the SAT. But I only got a 690 on the verbal. Not sure I can do much better. Have very average background, not poor or rich, not POC. 4.45 weight GPA, 10 APs, five honor societies, drummer in our HS marching band and a left handed pitcher for our varsity baseball team since sophomore year. Question is: will missing 700 on one side of basically kill me for schools like BC, Villanova and maybe UVA?(Know already I’m not making Tufts, Amherst and Williams now.) Is the double 700 a breaker with admissions counselors–basically they chuck you out of the consideration pile?
