How important is being a legacy?

<p>Uncle doesn’t count.
Your Mom does, but it only matters if you do ED.
If you do not do ED, it won’t matter if you’re a legacy.
UPenn expects all legacy kids to apply ED.
And furthermore, legacy is usually a tipping factor, not an automatic decider. Last year, of the admitted kids, about 200 were legacies, but most were most likely qualified with high SATs/Sports/GPA etc.</p>
