How important is the arts supplement to an application?

<p>My son has Stanford on his list of colleges but he will never finish his app. in time by Nov. 30th and that’s the deadline for the arts supplement. He did submit a supplement for the Common App. He’s a violinist but he’s not a national award winner or anything like that;still, music is a huge part of his life and his recordings were very good.</p>

<p>Will he be at a disadvantage for not having submitted the supplement?</p>

<p>He won’t be at a disadvantage, but it was a way he could distinguish himself by providing additional materials that others don’t get to.</p>
