How is a "gap in education" defined by UC's?

I assume the first scenario of a gap would be a student who does not consistently enroll in classes for Fall-Spring in that cyclic manner.

But if a student transferred to another school halfway throughout the year could that also count as a gap?

Example. Let’s say someone went to USC straight out of high school and after fall semester there, they started to attend a community college instead for the following spring. Technically, the semesters are consecutive it’s just at a different school.

i think it will be fine.

the gap means an absent from skool
so as long as you are enrolled, doesn’t matter where,
it won’t count as a gap

for like you quit skool and get a job for a semester or something like that.
