How is college life?

I read her “essay” because I’m starting as a music major very soon, and because, well… I tend to read posts that seem indicative of a high smh value. I mean, the quotes she pulled were great ones and I can relate to and agree with most of those people. But, well… you know. I was afraid to nod in agreement of any of them because my face might hit my palm on the way down and never come back up.

oh my god are you kidding me i don’t think anything has been this intense ever

STEM >>>>>>>>>>>> Music

Anyone who thinks otherwise clearly is not cut out to be a STEM major.

“Hah sorry. Didn’t realize it was such a sensitive point”
There is six pages dedicated to it on this thread alone…don’t pull that…

■■■■■ or serious?

This is like an oil well fire. Someone needs to strap some explosives to it and blow it up completely to put it out.

thank you. 4 years of high school lit classes and having to use textual evidence to back up a point in countless papers can actually be used outside of school.

It’s not the only thread on CC like this.

I find it funny how this is still going on. I came back wondering if this thread went back on topic…how about this: what is college life like for music and engineering majors? Let us share stories.

It’s all good, clean family fun

I didn’t say I know everything, but these engineering/STEM people don’t know everything either like they think they do about music. Watch them fail in a music major.

Prettyyy sure we’ve never had this much intensity in one of these threads before. I vote we close this. This is insane.

The huge argument on this thread is actually very worthwhile. You guys don’t know how hard these majors really are. Every STEM major has to build their own Large Hedron Collider for their final project and every music major has to play this for their final recital, and they have to sing it if they’re a voice major:

http://www.well.com/user/bryan/waltz.gif

Take that, you stupid humanities majors!!!

is this really considered intense? It just looks silly to me.

lol “release the penguins”

needs more jazz hands

Nvm…CC screwed over my formatting.

1 thing learned about college life in this thread: don’t make friends with music or engineering majors because they’ll waste all your time proving that their major is better than yours

My 2nd major is actually in the humanities (history), but there I will say from what I’ve heard, it’s not the hardest.

Oh hey. While getting Kool-aid I realized how this thread derailed so quick. 1st page I said something about throwaway majors having it easy and iluv jumped down my throat about music majors or something. If it helps when I said “throwaway majors” I was referring to majors that are general time wasters…like the ones football players take.

Let’s pray to Christ there are no football players on this thread.

No, not necessarily, but as a music major, I’m certainly not going to be friends with a STEM major like UAKid, but other ones, sure, maybe.

And then on other posts, you said music wasn’t hard, and also implied that. What majors would those “throwaway” ones be then?
