How Is Holiday Shopping Going?

In my favor, the roll was at the way back, behind some books. But yeah, now I need to find the ribbon supply.

D2 was here and we joked about a few times when I found a hidden away Xmas gift (usually small extras) months later.

Not my best holiday. I’d never forget what I bought to make for Thanksgiving dinner.

Ross had wrapping paper and tissue paper at reasonable prices and conveniently located in the store. It was a more manageable size and price than Costco for my purposes.

I am done. Finished. Did the mall/Ulta/wrapping paper run yesterday. It took all day, but I knew if I came home I’d never go out again.
Today will be the fun trip to Archie McPhee. Then it’s just the sorting and the wrapping.

Done - just did the last gift and got the gift cards!

Finished the wrapping except for a few gifts that are still in transit.

FYI, Target’s “heavy duty” wrapping paper is a bargain at $5 for a HUGE roll but no longer as heavy duty as it used to be in years past. I like my wrapping paper thick.

I finally started, so there’s something! Finally have the niece and nephew ideas so know what to get, just need to be able to leave the house to get them. (I did order what I could online at 2am!) Still stuck on S who has no special hobbies or interests. Done with H and my mom. D - I could easily buy her a dozen things with my eyes closed lol- she’s so easy.

@psychmomma JCrew is having a 40% off sale and they have nice stuff for men, IMO. Might be worth a look to see if they have stuff that might work for your son. In addition to clothes, they have nice leather belts and wallets.

I THINK I’m done. I do know I’m “over” it!

Instead of going out shopping much I’ve mostly hung out on-line looking for ideas and actually scored a couple. The items I’ve bought are much better quality than what’s been in our stores.
Research drives me nuts but worth it!

One thing–went to Best Buy for an item because I wanted to SEE it before I bought it. Figured someone could tell me more. My bad. They had it in stock–great! But nobody there that knew anything. Think I knew more from on-line reviews. No, actually a rep from a different company (not Best Buy) was very helpful-and it wasn’t his product.
So went ahead and bought.

But then–kicker–wanted an accessory–which was out of stock but available on-line. So had to order on-line to get sale price and… I’ll get it sooner shipped to me than they’ll have it in store. Ugh.
All fine but if you aren’t an on-line shopper it must REALLY be frustrating. And I was TRYING to just buy it and not get on-line again.

No more shopping. I haven’t bought a thing for myself this holiday.

@gouf78 I agree 100% and that’s why I’m such a fan of online shopping. In addition, it is so much easier to look for discounts and comparison shop. There is only one gift I’ve paid full retail for this season.

One. Present. Bought.

2am on Amazon seems to be my sweet spot.
