How is HS gpa calculated?

ok i read that UCD calculates your high school gpa from just your sophomore and junior years. is that true? and do they look at your unweighted and weighted GPAs? which one is more important?

its sophomore and junior grades weighted

Also, the grades are only counted on an ABCDF scale, so there is no A- or B+ or B- etc, just flat ABCDF, meaning grade points of A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0.

This can help if you have a lot of minuses, and hurt if you have a lot of pluses.

it is only sophomore and junior year and 8 semesters of AP/Honors classes can be weighted in. It also counts summer course like after your freshman summer and after sophomore summer because those count towards sophomore/junior grades. Not all honors classes get the extra credit so you should check your school’s list. A=4,B=3,C=2,D=1,F=0
AP classes have 1 extra point for anything that is a C or higher.

****. without my freshman year grades my GPA is like a 3.3 weighted. =

^ Well how about your test scores? It’s not all about the grades. :)

yea, my GPA is similar to yours when its soph/junior yr. I think it wuz 3.28 Weighted and 3.24 UC-weighted.

i took the SATs once and got a 1850 and i took the US history SAT II and got a 660. im retaking the reasoning and i expect to get over 2000 this time since last time i didnt really study. and im retaking the US history subject test as well as biology (M) and literature. =

yeah i’ll cry if i dont get in.
