How is my appeal letter? Do I have a Chance?

I have received a notification that I was not eligible for financial aid for the 2014-2015 school year. I would like to address this matter within this letter and give the reasons why this has occurred, what has changed and why reinstating my financial aid at XXX is the best course of action for my future.

In the past 3 years, I have gone through the toughest time of my life so far. I was constantly starting something and never finishing it. This was the case with the schools that I have attended. I was unsure of what I wanted to pursue in life and unsure of myself. I would get the motivation to enroll only to lead to nothing to show for it. These are personal failures to me.

This year around February, I looked back at my life and realized that I am 26 years old, and getting older with no education besides a GED. Knowing this, I started to look into fields that could benefit not only my life, but my community as well. I enrolled at XXX to pursue and finish my Associate Degree in Teaching. I had to turn things around for the better, and that’s exactly what I did.

After I was accepted into the program and finished my first semester, I immediately sought for other qualifications to help myself and others. Currently I am enrolled in Harvard’s CS50X course for computer science, attaining a non-credited Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature via Alison.com and finishing my Teaching English as Foreign Language certification with Ical.com. Not only am I trying to better myself with these certifications, I am also studying to take a number of CLEP exams to apply to my degree with XXX.

I am also aware that I must maintain and surpass the GPA of 2.7. I am taking time each day to prepare myself for the courses that I preregistered for the fall semester. If I am having any difficulty with this, I will seek guidance from tutors, my assigned professor and any other help that XXX has to offer.

I have never been more motivated and dedicated to earn my degree and walk across the stage. If my financial aid status remains the same, I will not be able to attend XXX and accomplish the goals that I know I can achieve. I’m no longer giving up on myself, and I hope that XXX doesn’t either. I am requesting that the decision is reversed so that I can become the person I know I can be.

I genuinely appreciate that time was taken to read this to consider my appeal.

Thank You,

No one can give an opinion? even if negative?
