So I’m applying to USC and was wondering if anyone had any information as to how USC or NCP colleges in general calculate the noncustodial contribution? So lets say one parent (this is my parents case simplified) earns 60k and another 40k both with 2 people in each their household. Would the overall institutional EFC be the same as a married couple earning 100k with a household of 4? Or is their a different calculation?
There is no “general” formula like there is for information provided on FAFSA. Each school that requires Profile will use the information as it sees fit to determine the amount of need-based institutional aid.

No, because there is an assumption that there are two households to support.
