how is Rutgers for Med and Law

How is Rutgers for Medicine and Law? Also, are there any hot girls there lol :D

Yes, plenty of eye candy exists at Rutgers. As of 2006 Rutgers Law School in Camden is ranked 65, and Rutgers Law School Newark is ranked 80. I do not know what Rutgers Medical School is ranked. (FYI The name was changed from Rutgers Medical School to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) I have friends that are at both the law and medical schools, and they absolutely love it.

Do you mean for pre-law or pre-med?? MANY students come into Rutgers as pre-med or pre-law (I’m pre-med) and Rutgers does a really good job of getting us into good med or law schools. I know for med, every year there are a few that go to the very top med and law schools (Harvard, etc.) and many more get into other good schools.

I know that for pre-med students, the advising is really good. There is an entire office devoted to preparing us for the MCAT, med school interviews, and helping us set up our applications.

FYI Robert Wood Johnson Med School is part of UMDNJ not Rutgers. Although it started out as Rutgers Med School, at some point, the governor of NJ decided to separate the med school from the university (heard this was due to a fight between the governor and the president of the university…the NJ gov has a long history of screwing Rutgers over). Recently, due to the highly public UMDNJ scandals, many people have been pushing to give back the med school to Rutgers.

supermtt37, i don’t know what you’re talking about.

i went to the academic services building and on the 2nd floor, they had rutgers grad’s placement into law schools. they posted schools applied, schools accepted, test scores and gpa. and let me tell you, i think maybe 3 people max got into the best law schools (harvard, yale) out of a whole graduating class, and not many got into even top 20 law schools. rutgers law placement is pretty bad. i don’t know about med though.

Yea… I didn’t say hundreds got into the top schools obviously haha. I know for med though, like i said, a few got into the very top schools and more got into good ones.

yep, that’s what i saw NJman.

It seems like it would make more sense to have the list indexed by LSAT rather than GPA. It goes to show that you need to get major game going for the LSAT. Many students take the LSAT when taking a full course load, and maybe this is not the right approach. With 28,000 undergrad students it is hard to believe that this is all of the students who applied to law school.

i heard that Rutgers might try to combine or something with UMDNJ i have no idea how true that is though
