As the title says, how do colleges tell which CSS Profile belongs to which student?
I vaguely remember entering my CommonApp ID while filling in the profile but I can’t find it anywhere in the submitted profile display. I’m a little confused and worried. Anyone has the answer?
Well…your name, address, birthday, are all on the Profile, aren’t they?
Agree with thumper, there are a lot of things to connect then. If I recall correctly, social security number are on both applications as well.
And if you filed a FAFSA all of that info is on that form as well.
They don’t use anything from the common app as many schools don’t even use the common app. Social security seems like the top match point.
well, forgot to mention that I’m an Intl’ Student so I have no Social Security Number
As an international students, you will be read by the admissions officer who reads applications for international students. Remember that there are only 5 schools in the US that are both need blind and meet 100% of your demonstrated need.
If you have checked that you are applying for aid, at any school that is not need blind to you, they will match you up in admissions. Otherwise they will match you up in financial aid
Your birthday and name…and address…are on both applications. The school will be able to figure out what to do.
