I’m applying into the science department.

Specifically I applied to biology.

First off is Biology harder to get into than normal majors?
Also, how do professors generally grade their students?

Is there some sort of deflation/inflation that goes on?
I have heard rumors of a bell curve and to be honest im not familiar with the concept.
Does a bell curve make it so only a small number get As no matter how the class performs, and is that bad? Does it make things competitive between students.

Basically, I am asking is biology a competitive major in admissions, how the grading works, and does that make Bucknell a competitive school between students?
