jym – LOVE the driveway story!!

:(
:(

Oh, no, jym, why the frowns. We’re sending good thoughts your way!

I am remembering my reaction when I came home to the paved driveway. Was truly upsetting :(

Sorry, I skipped some replies in between. Just think what you would have if you had put that money in a forgotten savings account. What, with today’s interest rates, maybe $10.50!

LOL. But at least I’d have access to the funds. Could pay for a Starbucks or two.

Artloverplus…you are probably right. I didn’t want to exaggerate the difference. It probably is well over 1 million.

And Tiburon isn’t exactly inexpensive.

^^^Jeez, who can afford to live in those places? Movie stars? Royalty? Professional athletes? Can’t imagine even a successful businessman, doctor, lawyer, affording a 5 million dollar house.

You really, really don’t want to know how little $1200 would get you
Half the maid’s quarters perhaps.

The week my house sold, my Realtor sold another listing in my town for close to that, all cash. Early Facebook employee.

^^^ I think the record for the Bay Area or for the USA for that matter, in 2011, the highest priced home sold was a $150 Million $$$ Los Altos HIlls home. It was not a MLS or public listing and was hush hushed by the First America Title company regarding the address and location. The information nevertheless was leaked out. And of course, some of our friends have worked for the seller in the past.

What vball is buying probably is half of the maids quater or pool house in the above home.:)

across the water, it makes a sea of differnece, perhaps half. We had a similar listing in Tiburon with less view at half of the price and it was not sold. :(

The view is pretty important.

Belvedere has one of the worst listing to sell ratios around. Homeowners in Belvedere just sit on their homes rather than drop the prices.

Belvedere’s story…

Looks like the average sold price is down about 25 percent from the high in both places…that looks about right…maybe a little more because
many homes have to be in great condition to sell…

The weather is better in central Marin.

I have no dreams at that level, its beyond my imagination. :(

I used to live in a cottage near here…800 sq ft…it was great…

I like San Anselmo…cute town…

Quite a bit less than Belvedere…

dstark,

Does a sr. member have the privilage to erase a posting? I am confused.

You have 15 or 20 min…to erase…any poster…click on edit and then delete…

I erased one because I thought I was asking you for too much info…

Do you see the word edit in your last post?

It will be there for…I forget…20 min…only you can see it.

10-4…
I am used to the edit function, but never thought you can “erase” a posting…

:)…

dstrk,

I used to live in a small cape cod near here(not the same town):

But I did not feel privilaged…:)

Alpine has the lowest property tax in the entire county, thus the highest price of the home.
