How is the network setup at warren dorms?

Is there free wifi inside the dorms? or do I have to provide my own router?

Also, how big is the local network? Is each suite their own local network? Or each building is its own local network? Or the whole campus is on one big local network?

There is free wifi, from what i saw my host did with his laptop is moderately quick. Dorms, I THINK are equipped with wifi

Each building inside the freshman dorms (not apartments) has wireless, and each room has wall plugs for a wired internet connection. As far as I can tell, each building has its own network.
P.S. The wireless isn’t free - you’re paying money to live there and internet is one of the things provided.

^As far as I know, all apartment buildings on campus also have wireless, not just dorms… (I know sixth, revelle, and muir do, anyway…)

One router box that has one coaxial out and 4 ethernet out in every room, basically. Wifi covers most of campus except for the top floors of the Tioga and Tenaya at Muir. Wifi in fringe rooms at the borders of campus is sketchy, so I suggest a nice long ethernet cable for the speed/stability.
