Wait your appeal was denied? I thought they dont read appeals until later! I appealed too but I haven’t received a response yet. Did it actually say your appeal was rejected on the portal?

i just want to tell you guys that the waitlist releasing date has been postponed to the end of this month. I just went to the admission office and got this news.
This is strange. Why would they do that? Release date has other dependencies. They cant just change the date without having a ripple effect on other dates.
University of California President Janet Napolitano announced today (May 14) that she and Gov. Jerry Brown have reached a historic agreement that provides UC with significant new revenue while capping resident tuition at its current level for the next two years.

Unfortunately there is no mentioning of increasing enrollment for the freshmen in this agreement. This is disgusting!!
i am sry! In order to confirm the date, I FB msg the office, they told me they’re looking at tomorrow to begin releasing waitlist decisions from the waitlist.
I also called admissions today and the admissions employee told me they scratched the May 15th date and they “hope” to let everybody know by May 31st, but that they won’t necessarily take until then. So I’m not sure why their social media team would say they’re looking at tomorrow, but I’d imagine they’re less informed than the actual admissions employees that you can call.
So that means they will do batches?
That’s a good sign!
Batches always mean there will be some acceptances!

I messages them on fb and asked about did that mean I was rejected If I didn’t receive the financial aid verify thing
And they replied me:
You are not rejected from the waitlist. We aim to release waitlist decisions beginning tomorrow.

I think we are the most tenacious wait list group UCI has ever had. I mean 61 pages on this page and countless calls, emails, and social media interactions with the admissions office. Haha guys, I think we really are one special group.
I wonder how annoyed they are with us lol but they should know that we really really want to go to their school
they probably know how much we wanna go to UCI despite all our hope going away and coming back each time lol we’re all so emotionally conflicted

This is a huge hope! Because if they are all rejections, they should be released at one time! So keep your heads up!!'nnm
