Hey guys, lighten up. The results are coming out on Friday, just sit tight and don’t scare the lurkers haha. I’m sure it will be fine. I mean, they accepted less people this year, and a good portion of those people did not submit an SIR. We’ll be fine.
Lets not give up hope. It is better that uci is taking time, this way they will have more precise data of all the SIRs from other UCs.
Yeah I think we have a better chance! But for the people that were not requested these documents it doesn’t mean they aren’t getting in. I mean maybe they didn’t apply for financial aid in the first place so they wouldn’t be asked for those documents. Also, the federal governments randomly selected about 30% of applicants to submit these to see if their information provided on their FAFSA is not false…but for these 30% of people that are requested for them, they are requested AFTER they get admitted.
hey you might be right. Decisions for people taken off the waitlist for UC DAVIS are due tonight at midnight. So it makes sense that UCI is waiting cause Davis is due tonight so people will be moving their SIR’s from UCI to UCD, and that way they get more spots.
Tbh I don’t think anyone got off the UCI waitlist yet. I know about 10 people on the waitlist with very high stats that have been accepted into better UCs, so it was a shock that they were waitlisted. They probably would’ve been accepted. Just saying.
Just so you guys know, I’m an accepted transfer student that did receive financial aid and I never received that FAFSA update so it means absolutely nothing. I checked mine earlier to confirm and it hadn’t changed within months of my acceptance. Also, Irvine’s never only accepted a small minority of waitlisted people, so anybody telling their friends they were accepted off the waitlist in may or April are probably lying

Good morning! Just saw someone posted they got off the ucsc waitlist so we shouldn’t worry that there’s no space at uci…

My friend (who was on the waitlist as well) told me she got rejected from UCI a couple days ago…I haven’t heard anything on my portal yet, so hopefully tomorrow is Waitlist acceptances?! keeping my fingers crossed

@Oracion true! You never know haha; but in my defense, she got pretty annoyed when I asked her about the circumstances regarding her rejection from the waitlist lol
