@boredandconfused Uhhh. I’m not too sure about my stats. It’s a combination of several transcripts from various schools, but I’d say around 3.0~3.5.
I was accepted for Criminology, Law, & Justice.

@boredandconfused It was my first choice! I did not receive an email, actually. I just randomly checked the portal and saw the “You have been admitted to UC Irvine!” banner on it.

it doesn’t seem like many freshman have heard back yet tho so fingers crossed they will start releasing more soon!

i don’t think any freshmen have heard back yet… so many of us have posted on here and it appears that none of us have received any news… personally, i don’t think they would create such a delay if they’re going to reject us all… stay positive everyone!

If UCI needed more students, wouldn’t they accept ASAP?
They’re waiting because they either 1) don’t know yet or 2) they’re gonna reject everyone
UCI always waits till the last few days to reject people
But if they’re gonna accept some people this late, it’s because as of now, they don’t know how the waitlist acceptances from other schools will affect them
@waitlisted1234 there’s a reason why they extended it to June 1st. I mean it would only make sense to accept people off the waitlisted. If not, why bother extending it. They could’ve just rejected all of us on the 15th by the way. So I feel pretty confident decisions are going to come out Tuesday and when I say decisions, I mean good news. Just stay hopeful man. I know it’s long but we are all in the same position. Stay hopeful and don’t stress about it.

when i talked to the guy at uci, he said they would come out in batches. i talked to him on the 15th when we were all originally supposed to find out. Thus, I’m assuming that there will be people getting off of the wait list. if the whole incident with the UCSC wait list is freaking people out, don’t! UCSC didn’t accept anyone off their wait list last year as well. If it is in batches, UCI will probably do 2 batches of acceptances and 1 batch of rejections or 1 batch of acceptances and 1 batch of rejections because they only have a week left till june 1
If they do 2 batches of acceptances the decision SIR date will probably be like 2/3 days later because they need to see how many SIR from the first batch
I just created my account to inform you guys on what has happened for me. I am an incoming freshman who was wait listed but I also appealed my waitlist. Yesterday, I was accepted into uci from my appeal rather than the waitlist. I hope all of you will get in like me!

And aw… I didn’t appeal
