I truly wonder why the process is taking so long…
Does anyone have any new info? I called yesterday and the lady simply told me, “by June 1, yes,” nothing new.
I saw on the UCI facebook page that they were going to be taking very few, if any, of the wait listed students.
Which FB page did they post that on I can’t find it?? Is it official?
@dilapidatedpple I just read it on the page titled UC Irvine Admissions on Facebook. I hope they release the decisions soon!
By the way, that response from UCI Admissions Facebook was in reference to the freshman waitlist (in case any transfers are wondering).

@ashley545 I’m in the same boat as you! I think I’m going to choose UCI over CSULB if I get in because I get a decent amount of financial aide… If you’re fine with paying more for UCI then you should do that because it’s where you really want to go!!! ; u;
Been checking the uci my admissions page like a crazy person 
I just saw it, and my level of optimism kinda dropped 
I forgot to post but i got off the waitlist for UCI on the 23rd i also appealed though however.
just checked the uci admissions fb page and saw a comment they posted to someone: “There will be very few spots, if any, for freshmen from the waitlist. Any decisions will be released on a rolling basis. Please consider your alternate colleges or back-up plan.”
shocked they said “if any”… don’t understand how they could delay this long if there are barely going to be any acceptances
How do they not know… If any… Ugh. It’s so frustrating because they had 2 more weeks of organizing… It’s ridiculous how they don’t know…

im not necessarily entirely unhopeful, i think the best idea is to just be optimistic but also more accepting towards the school you’ve already committed to. just really annoyed cause we’ve been waiting since march and when i did ask how they were going to release decisions, they said it would be in batches. about 3 days left till june 1st and not a single batch… so I’m assuming we just all get a decision on june 1st. but who knows, SB has been releasing wait lists in batches for the past 2 weeks
OMG,I’am really mad on UCI Admission office, they has been taken this forever…can’t bear this anymore!!!
If they are going to reject us, it’s going be a big storm for them.

I think the delay maybe them having to review the applications again to choose the limited amount of students they can accept.
its just weird cause transfers heard back before us. I’m pretty sure this is the first year uci has done this… i know this year, there was a record breaking amount of applicants so I’m assuming they’re not used to having such a large number of files to look over?
Unfortunately UCI has been playing with students for so long. They could have said the same thing a month ago. What a pity!
UCI is a 2nd tier UC with an attitude of 1st tier IVY league!
