AP statistics emulates a one semester introductory statistics course without calculus. Usually, colleges have these courses for students to fulfill quantitative reasoning requirements, so they should not be that hard for students who are decent in math.
If you will be a CS or business/IT major, you will likely have to take statistics in college; in some cases, a calculus-based statistics course will be required.
