so i want to find my cumulitive gpa. dont i go 3.4285 + 3.000 + 3.3750 = 9.71785
divided by 3 because of the grade levels which will equal 3.2392 for a cumulitive right?

so i dont know where the 3.1891 that my school is giving me. anyone know if im right or if i calculated wrong?

quality points is the amount of point you have if you multiply the number of credits of your course by the GPA you received for that course (A-4 B-3 C-2). In turn, the more credits in a course, the more quality points you get. But if you screw up a course that’s worth a lot of credits, it will affect your GPA more. and Vice versa

Nope, because in the three years, your credits have been different. So in the 9th grade, your total GPA was 3.43(rounding up just as an example) times 7, which is about 24.01. then, you add it to the next year’s, which would be 3.00 times 6.5 that gives you 19.5. Lastly, you do 3.38 times 4, which is 13.52. Finally you add them all up(24.01+19.5+13.52) and divide them by 17.5, the number of total credits. That’ll give you about 3.19 or something. So you’re school’s right

I’d talk to your counselor… there’s too much difference between schools, difference between what counts in your GPA, and the preferred grading system so… eh…

Oh… and in a calculation fight between the computer and a human, its a safe bet to wage on the computer…

ok. i think my school is wrong but before i walk in there i want to know for sure…
look closely. i earned 7 credits freshman year. earning a 3.4285
sophomore year. i earned 6.50 credits with a 3.000 gpa.
right now so far in junior year i have a 3.3750 earning 4.0 credits so far…
7+6.50+4= 17.5 and on my report card it tells me i earned 7, 6.50 and 4 but at the bottom it says i earned 18.50 credits…could this be the reason for error? because the number of credits it says i have? is my gpa in fact a 3.25711?
