Just wondering how a Wii would do on our 26-inch (I think) TV . . .

We use a small, 20-year-old TV for our Wii. It works. When using a Wii, one stands four or five feet in front of it, and the graphics aren’t that detailed that one needs a large TV.

Also, I had much less fear about losing my grip on the accessories (tennis racquet, golf club, etc.) playing in front of our old TV than playing in front of my mother’s large flat-screen TV!

That’s about the size of my tv, and it’s totally no problem. I prefer playing on my parents big screen, but mine is sufficient.

Thanks. I have played Wii Fit on the neighbor’s big screen; I am quite tempted to get one and see how it goes on our smaller tv. D plays Rock Band and some other stuff on our tv, so it does work at least somewhat for games.

The smaller, the better

Wrong! The bigger the better :D

Haha that makes me want to play Wii Sports on an IMAX screen…

^That would be quite the workout.

You’ll be just fine with the smaller TV, especially with the Wii Fit. You’re not going to be moving all over the place, just staying in the area where the board is.

We have an Xbox with Kinect, and a 26 inch TV. It’s big enough. Don’t know if Wii requires the same general amount of movement (since there are controlllers) but what was more important was the size of our playing space – the living room’s not that big, so we had to shove a couple couches out of the way…

For wii, how much space you need depends on the game. Fitness kind of games are difficult to predict, something like wii fit may keep you on the balance board (I wouldn’t know, I don’t have it), but I have My Personal Fitness Coach and my parents fairly large family room was still not quite enough room. All of my other games are fine in my little 10x12 dorm room.

I play on a 22-inch TV in my dorm and I never have any problems. I do sometimes sit on the floor close to the TV because it’s hard to see otherwise, but with games like Wii Fit this probably wouldn’t be an issue since you have to stand fairly close anyway.

My wii and wii fit are on my living room tv which is 47 inches. I’m sure it would be fine on a smaller tv as well.

We have a 62" big screen in our family room and a 30" in the basement. The kids seem to prefer the smaller basement TV. They have brought the Wii upstairs on occasion, but it generally stays in the basement and I don’t hear any complaints. (The primary games they play are Rock Band, Madden, and Wii Sports).
