How liberal/conservative are these schools?

UNC, UVA, GW, Wake Forest, George Mason, James Madison, Vanderbilt, Emory

Emory- very liberal
Wake- moderate leaning conservative maybe
Vandy- moderate very balanced
GW- very liberal
UVA- moderate leaning liberal
UNC- pretty liberal
JMU- Ehhh probably leans conservative
GMU- Seems very moderate

All colleges have a bit of a liberal slant. Honestly regardless of political opinion, you should be fine at all these schools unless your triggered by the other sides opinion and need your safe space. Maybe if your very very outspokenly conservative, Emory and GW might not be for you

I was looking a bit more into it and Wake is definitely more conservative than I initially thought. It’s nothing like W and L or anything but yeah it does seem fairly conservative

Cause most colleges today tend to be liberal leaning, anything moderate or with similar percentages of liberals and conservatives is considered conservative (like Claremont McKenna for example). In reality, these schools are just more balanced than the majority of liberal colleges, giving them the appearance of conservative institutions.
