<p>I’m at a half page single spaced, (410ish words), for my “intellectual experience” essay… Since stanford doesn’t have specific word limits, are they silently hinting at a 250 word limit like most other universities?</p>
<p>If you apply online, theres a very strict 1600 character limit, which for me was at about 270 words.</p>
<p>If you apply using paper, there’s a box you have to fit your responses into, and your font can’t be that small.</p>
<p>410 words is way over the limit.</p>
<p>My word count was 279 words, which was already at 1599 characters out of the 1600…</p>
<p>Goldfish is correct, 410 is way too much :P</p>
