I still haven’t buy my college supplies cuz I had summer school and was so busy all the time. I start college on Monday Aug. 24th.

For freshmen, it generally takes awhile because parents are usually adamant about making sure you take every little thing. You need to buy a lot, but for the most part a few trips to bed bath and beyond will solve that problem.

Im moving into an apartment so I now need even more crap…

I bought all my stuff for fall in one day in like two hours.

Work on that past tense.

Anyway, I’ve spent probably a day or two all together buying stuff at 5, 6 stores.

Which stores you guys went to shop for college stuff?? About how much will it cost total? About $200??

I thought I was ready in like a day but my mom is making me take all this crap lol. there’s a pretty decent packing list here if you guys are interested: http://collegechecklist.yolasite.com. I used it for basics at least.

Kmart, Walmart, the dollar store, drug store (rite aid), etc.

I have been collecting little by little over the past month or so… Its annoying when your parents want to nitpick on every little thing. If you have a week or two before college starts and you can get into your dorm room, then I would suggest going in and than looking around for what you can buy. Just get essentials like bedding and clothes, then worry about the rest later.

I’m really not doing any serious college shopping. I’m going up with the bare minimum to survive a few weeks and everything else is being ordered online arriving some time in early/mid September and I don’t intend to spend more than $200 on those things. We only hit up Target last weekend for the necessities and spent under $100. My mom is making a much bigger deal of everything than it should be though.

I did all my shopping yesterday in about 3 hours and $250. But I’m also a sophomore. Last year I spent lots more and it took much longer.

This year I basically just had to replace stuff I ran out of.

ohh…umm well I will be living in a house off campus. Will I need a printer?? ;/ I dont wanna buy one, there kinda pricey…

It’ll be convenient to have, but does your school offer free printing?

^I think you should buy one, unless you have a roommate whose willing to share (as long as you buy ink or something). It’d be more of a hassle not to have one, I feel. And you can find some cheap ones, with discounts too.

I’ve been buying my stuff bit by bit, but we’re going full out back-to-school shopping this Saturday. So excited… I love buying new stuff! haha

They are not all expensive. My mom bought a printer from Target for $19 bucks and it works awesome. I got mine cheap when I bought my laptop.

I would never share a printer.

I would not buy a printer because I get free printing on campus and we have public printers in every academic building. I have never felt the need to print something in my room. I could have gotten a free printer from another student last year and I passed because I valued empty desk space more than a printer.

I’ve been collecting for the past 3 weeks or so…I haven’t spent very much time, but probably a fair amount of money.

Oh, and I’m not bringing a printer, at least to start. My school gives us 500 pages/semester free. If it doesn’t work out and I decide I need/want a printer, I’ll pick one up from home one weekend when I come back since I live pretty close to my school and we have an extra one lying around.

I bought all my stuff about 2 and a half weeks ago. I leave for college the 17th. =] I get free printing at school, but I bought a printer for me and my roomate to share, basically bc I am used to having a printer in my room.
