how long did you guys..?

study for the SATs? just curious… and wanted to get a heads up because i’m a US citizen abroad…

2 months. during school time.

none! I’m one of those apparently rare people that believe standardized tests should be a true measure of one’s abilities without studying. But my friends studied for like a month :)

^ same. It worked out fine ;)

I don’t believe studying has many benefits. I hardly studied for my first one and got a 1570/1600, studied much harder for the second and got 1560/1600. I did improve my writing from 680 to 750, (and that’s why I retook), but even then I only missed one less multiple choice question and my essay went up 2 points.

It’s still a measure of your abilities wheather you study or not.

two weeks? just ran through some practice sets.

I started studying like 3 weeks before. The first time I took it I got a 1500, then I got cocky and the second time I took it I got a 1450. Then I was like ***?? and started studying and got a 1570.

I don’t think it matters whether you study or not. The SAT is a both an assessment and an intelligence test. You need both to get a good score and the people who get a good score after studying just needed help on the “assessment” part.
