Hello, I just booked my flight to Atlanta. The visit is on Tuesday, March 22. Emory just emailed me saying:

Your Emory Focus Session is scheduled for 02:15 on 22-MAR-2011.
Your tour is scheduled for 01:00 on 22-MAR-2011.

I was wondering how long the Emory Focus Session is because I really wanna visit the Coca Cola World afterwards and I am not sure if I will have time. (I must enter before 5 PM and Coca Cola World closes at 6:30 PM)

Also, I am from Southern California. How’s the weather in Atlanta in March? Emory sent me a booklet claiming that everyone wears shorts in Febraury, but I wanna hear from real students. Is sweater/ jeans fine in March?

Weirdly enough, the shorts in February just recently became true as of last week. The temps. have gone upwards to 60-70 range. It appears that this trend is not really stopping, and I certainly don’t recommend wearing a sweater in that portion of March. By then, it’s essentially too hot for that. The temps. will be higher, and I think it’s when many plants begin to bloom, so you may also want to beware of the pollen. There was so much last year, that there was essentially a green haze over lots of Emory. Hopefully a lot of the plant life will be back by your visit, so you’ll get to see the campus close to its best. Also, tours/info. session should leave more than enough time to get to Coca Cola Center.
