How long do you get to keep the NYU e-mail account?

This might be something that’s more applicable to universities as a whole, but what’s the longevity on the account? Would I get to keep it after I graduate? Does it expire at a certain point?

SiXELA295,

Normally, student email accounts (and faculty email accounts) are no longer available once you graduate or leave and no longer pay any fees to the school (or receive salary from the school).

You can access your NYU email until you graduate or no longer attend, but online they say you get to keep your NYU email address forever as a forwarding address

When you graduate, you become part of the NYU alumni network and one of the benefits is having an alumni.nyu.edu email address fo a lifetime.

You have it forever. I’d recommend you change your NYU email address. For example if your name is John Doe and your nyu email is JD321@nyu.edu, you can change it to John.Doe@nyu.edu if it is available. Anyone who emails you using JD321 or John.Doe will go to your inbox.

How do you change it?
