How long do your jeans last?

So I’ve recently noticed that my jeans don’t last very long, usually after about a year or so a rip starts to appear in my inner thighs. My jeans aren’t too tight, I usually need a belt unless I’ve just washed them, but they aren’t very loose either. This seems to happen with a lot of different brands, including Levis, American Eagle, Hollister, etc. And I rotate between 2 to 4 jeans at a time.

I was just curious if this was normal or not? It sucks because I basically have to buy a new set of jeans every year, which is starting to get kind of expensive.

Years. I still have some jeans from high school that I wear. I’m 23.

I buy my jeans at Wal-Mart, but I haven’t bought any in the last three years or so.

The length of my legs haven’t changed much. I still have jeans from middle school I can wear that are in good condition and I use jeans all the time (I’m 5’9"-5’10").

Last I checked jeans were $20 or less.

I don’t think it’s normal for you to buy jeans every year.

I’ve had mine since 8th grade and I’m in 11th now. I got them at JcPenny’s on sale for $8 each.
Hmmmm I’m not sure why yours are ripping so fast, are they cotton, or the jegging material?

Mine last for years.

It might have to do with your weight, not the jeans. Friction is the reason why your jeans are ripping at the inner thigh level.

Also, you have to take care of your jeans as well. Washing them isn’t really the best idea - especially if you own designer name brand jeans (7FAM, True Religion, etc). You have to maintain the quality of your jeans if you really want to keep them forever.

Wash them inside out if you’re using a washer. Darks. Cold water. Dry them inside out as well. Also, pay attention to the tag as how to wash them. Some jeans are hand wash and hang dry only.

Personally, I don’t ever wash my jeans and only throw them into the dryer (inside out).

The more you wear your jeans, the more they’ll form to your shape. However, washing them badly will ruin their shape and make them baggy and all stretched out.

Years but one pair of jeans that I probably brought for under $10 ripped in my inner thighs. I bought them two summers ago.

My jeans usually last for more than 5 years.
