<p>I have a friend in Cal who is a freshman biology major right now. She said her finals are this week, so she is extremely busy. Just wondering, how long do finals in Berkeley last? One week? Two weeks? Do they take finals on weekends?</p>
<p>This Thursday to next week’s Thursday. Your friend’s final could be on any one of the days in between excluding Sunday. No finals are on Sunday, but there are some on Saturday. If you’re that concerned, you can always check the finals exam calendar on the Berkeley schedule of classes site.</p>
<p>In addition to that, they can start as early as 8am and end as late as 8pm. If you’re really unlucky, you get 8-11, 12:30-3:30 and 5-8pm finals all on the same day. ;)</p>

<p>Thank GOSH my first final was in a well air-conditioned auditorium in one of the Engineering buildings, even if it was above Hearst Mining. I dread my afternoon final tomorrow which is in one of the Humanities buildings.</p>
