How long does it take for colleges to review applications and make their decisions?

I’m just curious and anxious. I recently applied to various schools in different states and I’m very anxious to see if I got accepted to any of the schools.

Most colleges publish their decision date or window of notification dates. Just query their websites

There is a wide range of time in which different schools send notices (for example, UC Riverside posted theirs already, but UC Berkeley won’t post until March 27) so you will definitely need to check the websites for the schools you applied to for that info

Open admission community colleges may give you acceptance notices instantly.

Generally, colleges tend to weed-out applicants from January 1st to about mid-February. Then, from mid-February through mid-March, the process starts all over again with a select group of top-students being brought before the Admissions Committee.
