How long does it take to read Barron's APUSH review book cover to cover? Can I do it in one day?

Okay, so to be brief, I basically didn’t pay attention in APUSH all year. I didn’t do any of the assigned readings either, so I know very little about APUSH at this point. I did pretty well on the practice tests we did in class though, mostly because i’m a good writer and I know how to analyze documents. But I obviously won’t do well on the real test without any real curriculum knowledge. So I have Barron’s book, and so far I’ve only read period 1. There are 384 total pages of reading, but its also obviously a large, textbook sized book as well. Can I read it all tonight if I pull an all nighter? How many hours do ou think it would take? I’m not taking notes aside from a small amount of margin notes, barely any though.

Or, should I just scrap this idea and watch Adam Norris or Jocz productions on YouTube instead? Will I have time for that?

So I guess it comes down to this: should I read Barron’s book cover to cover, or watch all of Adam Norris’s curriculum videos, or Jocz productions chapter videos? Which would I have time for?

(Btw, I have the rest of tonight/all nighter, then tomorrow after school (but I want to sleep tomorrow), and the test is Friday morning)

Also please don’t judge me, I know I’m a bad student.

You should probably just read the Barron’s book instead of watching all of the curriculum videos.

To be honest, your chances of getting APUSH in a single/two nights is very slim, as it is a vast and complex subject. Even if you manage to finish it, you will most likely not remember a lot of the details. Study books are meant to supplement knowledge, instead of teaching it to you.

If a person could learn APUSH in two nights with a study book, people would be self-studying it all the time.

How quickly can you read for comprehension and retention? No one knows the answer to that except you.

It would probably be more interesting to watch youtube videos (I personally recommend crashcourse) than to try and read the prep book.

@stressedgirl21 Maybe you can read in two nights, cool. The test scores don’t really matter, it’s more about what you learn.
