How long does it take to research for examples?

<p>I need to start reading novels so that I can refer to some of them in my SAT essays. Unfortunately, I don’t take history classes in school, at least for this year. In our English classes, we don’t read big novels or anything similar, but we study a number of anthology. If I start reading a couple of novels, starting today, for example, how long will it take me to finish them? Also, can you recommend for me any non-cliche books?</p>

<p>Different novels take different amounts of time to read. For example, “Animal Farm” is very short but “Les Miserables” is very long.</p>

<p>Reading novels isn’t really necessary, just go through the wikipedia page for a couple of classic but short books and take notes on who the main character and what the general plot is</p>
