Starting college this year and I plan to transfer asap because I’m not going to where I want to be, and I was wondering.

Give the place you’re attending in the fall a chance before you decide to transfer. If you begin your freshman year with the notion that you’ll dislike the school, you will not have a good experience. It’s the worst way to begin your career at the university level. You may be surprised and enjoy where you’re already enrolled if you give the school a chance.

However, if transfer is the ultimate solution, it will take a while. Your grades at the university level will need to be disclosed. Your high school record will have less impact on your transfer the longer you are in college. If you decide to transfer after your first semester or the end of your freshman year, your high school record will be influential in the decision.

I also might be planning to transfer, but I will be waiting at least until next year. I will enjoy all that I can now. The transfer process is usually a bit more difficult.
