How long is Social Analysis 10??

So it says online that Social Analysis 10 starts at noon but not when it ends. Does any current student know how long this class is? 1 hour? 1.5? 2 hours?

im asking because i want to take CS 50… which is from 1-2:30pm on the same days as SA10, so this schedule wouldn’t work if SA10 is any longer than 1 hour. thanks!

Standard lecture time is one hour. They will only list the time the lecture ends if it is longer than the default.

oh ok. thanks, that really helps!

Classes that meet only twice a week are 1.5 hrs per class
Classes that meet 3 times a week are 1 hr per class
exceptions are noted with start and end times

Remember that you will have to schedule times for Sections as well once classes start.

re: post 4: Not true. Many classes meet only twice a week for one hour. If not otherwise noted, all classes begin at 7 minutes past the hour and end on the hour. A class that is listed as “M, W (F) at 1oam” meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10 am (with start time at 10:07), with a Friday lecture at the discretion of the instructor. If the class has a section, it will be noted. Section times are determined after students have enrolled in the class.

^^^ Yes. Marite is correct. :)Mea culpa (just thinking about my courses).

With the exception of Expos all my courses were Science & Math
so Post 4 applies only in this limited context. There are numerous
examples of what Marite said in the humanities and other departments.

if you call it social analysi 10, you’ll look like a noob. it’s ec10. or ec.

every monday, wednesday, and friday you’ll either have either section or lecture. lectures are at 12, and you choose your section time after you’ve picked your other classes. i suggest 12. it just makes it easy.

don’t pick 9. 9am section is worse than death.

wingless,

So glad you’re planning to take CS 50- I’m TFing the course myself and assure you it’s going to be a great semester!

You might catch me in the “Virtual Terminal Room” for CS 50 as well ;-).

yea im totally looking forward to CS50!

thanks everyone for your comments.
