<p>I think 2 pages double spaced is average. You want to tell your story the best way you can, but keep in mind admissions officers read a lot of essays.</p>
<p>There are many reasons/signs but for sure, it’s too long when:</p>
<p>There’s lots of vague sweeping generic comments.
Sentences don’t add to who you are
Sentences don’t add to style of essay
Sentences start talking about something completely random
Sentences repeat the same point for no apparent reason
When you try to explain something more than 2 ways with the exact same conclusion</p>
