How long should a letter of intent be?

I’m currently writing my letter of intent and I feel like it’s getting pretty lengthy. I’m cutting parts out of it but basically I wanted to thank them for considering me and that I’m still interested in their school. I’m also updating them on my senior year because a lot has changed, mainly my schedule. I dropped calc BC and took AB instead but to compensate for this drop, I also switched out of psychology and took organic chemistry instead to still show that I can handle a rigorous schedule.

it’s a couple paragraphs long, is that too much? I’ve seen people only write a short paragraph but I had a lot to update them about.
Also do I send this to the regional counselor, of the general office of admissions?
Thank you so much!

I think one or two paragraphs should be fine. I would avoid going over a page; regional counselors have to go through a lot of these.

Keep it as brief and to the point as possible. If you make it too long, it would seem like your intent is to argue their decision, which will reflect even more negatively on you.
