I’m completing the illinois institute of technology app and there’s a section on it that is called the written response section. The prompt is: Please take a moment and tell the Admission Committee how you think IIT will prepare you to be a positive contributor to the world. This is your opportunity to share your goals and how you see IIT helping you achieve them.
.

Im just wondering if this should be a few paragraph thing or like a few pages or what.

definately NOT a few pages! It says “take a moment”. Keep it simple don’t pad or BS. I don’t know how many kids apply to IIT but I can tell you that many ad-coms want to get a true sense of you in as few words as possible. Be clear and unique but be brief.

ie no Miss America world peace and ending world hunger stuff unless you have a clear plan as to how you would do that. It’s a good question, don’t blow it off but as Polonius would say “brevity is the soul of wit”
