I know letter of recommendation is very important for graduate school. Therefore I wonder how long is a good letter of recommendation for a graduate school ? Also should it be single spaced or double spaced ?</p>
<p>It should be as long as it takes to describe the applicant. When i write these letters, if I don’t have much to say, the letter is short and if I know the applicant very well, it is longer and more descriptive. I write my letters on letterhead and usually that means a regular letter, not double spaced. </p>
