How long to complete undergraduate degree!

My daughter will be attending Pitt on a full-tuition scholarship. Given the current probable increase in tuition, I’m really wanting her to finish her degree in eight semesters (plus the co-op time) in order to avoid paying exorbitant tuition for any extra semester/year. How feasible is it for an engineering student who takes a full (but not overfull) load each semester to finish in eight semesters? She will not be trying to use AP credit for Calculus, etc… as I want her to take those courses at Pitt to prevent potential academic problems later in the course sequence. Thanks!

Each engineering department website has the full 8 semester course requirements listed. Example for Chem E:
[Undergraduate Program](http://webster.engr.pitt.edu/chemical/undergraduate/degreePrograms/index.html)
They all assume the student starts with Calculus. The key is not to take ANY courses which do not count for one of the requirements.

Thanks web2094. I’m going to make sure that she is fully aware of what she needs to do in order to graduate in eight semesters.
