How long to spend on ECs?

I understand that it is not how many ECs you have, but how into them you are.
This year I am going to be president of my school’s red cross club (1.5 hr/week), president of science club & editor of science journal (3 hrs/week), head of media for my school’s interact club (1.5 hr/week), secretary for the robotics team (average of ~10 hrs/week), volunteering at a grief center (1 hr/week). I also might volunteer at a hospital that is across the street from me for 2 hrs per week.
This adds up to 17 hrs a week or 19 if I do the hospital program. I was thinking that I should cut interact and the hospital out of my schedule to make it ~15.5 hrs a week.

Is this enough hours/manageable? Should I cut anything else out?

I think you look good. There will definitely be people with more hours, but that doesnt mean it is necessary. You’ve shown commitment to robotics which is a good thing. Im a rising senior. Ive probably spent around 12-20 hours per week on extracurriculars. It really depends on if I have a music recital coming up or a student government event that i’m spearheading. I think the main thing is that you show committment.

If you think you will be over extended with hospital and interact, cut them from your schedule. You need to keep your grades up.

It looks manageable enough, but the number of hours you spend on ECs doesn’t matter as much as how far you take them. Plus, keeping your grades up is much more important than spending hours on an EC you don’t care much about.
