There are around 300-400 2400 scorers every year, but you can miss 1-2 on CR and maybe 1 on Writing with an 11 essay and get a 2400. How many 2400 scorers would you estimate get every question right on the entire test + a 12 essay?

I know “back in the day” in the late 1980s/early 90s, only about 10-15 kids a year in the whole country got a 1600 SAT (verbal + math), and getting a 1600 back then (pre-recentering) required not missing any questions on any section. (However, the verbal section had about 60 vocab questions…antonyms, analogies, sentence completions…so maybe the role of luck was a lot bigger then, i.e. getting vocab words you knew.)
